Training Preparation

Fitness Training
- All team members will be on regular fitness training right up to the expedition.

Leadership and Teamwork Training
- To allow the team to develop they will be participating in a series of teamwork orientated tasks, they will undergo leadership training and coaching.

First Aid
- On the run up to the expedition the team will be stepping up their First Aid training.


 

Administration

There will be a fair amount of administrative tasks before the expedition.

- Training Administration
- Equipment
- Medial (Jabs, etc..)
- Passports / Visas
- Flights and Air Port Transfers

Duke of Edinburgh's Award Practice Expedition

Before the Sri Lanka expedition the parts of the team participating in the Duke of Edinburgh's Award will need to do a practice expedition. Mostly this is a training exercise to prove they are fit to move on to an actual expedition.

 

Equipment

As part of the preparation a lot of equipment will need to be organised. A lot of it will need to be soured and it will all need to be checked over, tested and very well organised.

     

About Sri Lanka

As part of the course the team will be learning about Sri Lanka. Studying the countries political system geography and basic language. The team will really get to know their destination and form an appreciation.
